Average April high is 84. In June it's over 100.


Okay you asked for it. A high pressure system is building in northern Iraq. It is a transistional system usually found marking the time between spring and summer. This ridge of high pressure will keep cool air and precipitation up north in Turkey.

In the meantime, there will be a southerly flow that will slowly heat up the Iraqi desert. The warm air should cause temps to slowly creep up. By this weekend, those temps will be approaching 103 in Basra and 101 in Bagdad.

I was not aware that anti Bush forces could control the weather but I am impressed.
