No need for floaties at the Galapagos Islands thread anymore. Yes, for the time being, I would like the GI thread to be in the shallow end of the pool. A sanctuary of sorts from all of the terribly deep threads on SI. Political Opinions are now completely banned from this thread. And I especially mean my own. I know that I have said this before, but I really really mean it this time. I am finding the divisiveness of the current political environment to be very troubling. Most of my good friends in 3D are liberals. I still love them no matter what. Heck, most of my family is liberal and I kinda like a few of them too.

As usual, market opinions that are tied to politics are acceptable, but please try to keep any editorializing out of it.

It is important to me that liberals and conservatives both feel comfortable on this thread. Call it a "don't ask, don't tell" type of situation. Because, one's politics shouldn't mean shit on a trading thread.

And to be honest, I am probably writing this more for myself than anyone. I have unbookmarked all of the political opinion threads and any thread that has a preponderance of political opinions.

oh, the french are still fair game as long as you don't lace commentary with politic opinions.
