tejek,

re:You make sure you men have food and water.......

Yeah, and if they would stop giving food and water to those women and children they keep running into....they would have more than enough. <g>

Seems the humanitarians need to get out there and take a few risks. Where are the French when you need them?

How the fukk do you know? You're a CPA from Little Rock, not General Bigshot!

I know a little about how organizations are run. Certainly not on this scale. But even small organizations, 100 people, require delgation if you're going to be successful at it.

Again, Black Hawk Down is a perfect example of what happens when an incompetent White House micromanages a military effort - a TINY one at that. Imagine if you had this kind of incompetence in a major conflict such as this war!!!

You make sure you men have food and water.......its so basic I can't believe we're arguing the issue.

There have zero reports of men going without food or water. Zero.

Who was that?

How about Schwartzkopf and McCaffrey? Both have been on lauding the current war. Schwartzkopf, a few minutes ago, in spite of Matthews' attempts to get him to say there were problems, was all but expressing amazement at the minimal number of casualties and at the pounding the Iraqis are taking right now.

I think it is pretty clear this thing is going to over on schedule -- just as Cheney said -- in "weeks", not "months".

He talks about the war plan being a total failure while you talk about it being a total success.

Keeping in mind it isn't over yet, I defy you to give me a link from today in which a competent military person refers to the current effort as anything other than a success.

Ted Re...They were not serious shortages but there was some concern.

That sounds like my situation with my bank. ONce again, you have said why it is a local problem of distribution, rather than supply lines. The army doesn't run on just in time like manufacturing plants do. So a slight delay, or even some supplies getting destroyed, are accounted for. They cause concern, but aren't force threatening. You liberals are getting so desperate, that now if one meal doesn't get delivered on time, you get your undies in a bunch. Get a life.
