ALL:Did anyone watch the interview

with Director of the Center of Public Integrity on Sunday?
I wonder Why is the mainstream media not reporting on this blatant conflict of interest on its front pages?

One thing that was mentioned, that stood out for me was that Nine out of the 30 members of the Defense Policy Board have various direct links to the companies which are big time defense contractors. These companies have only in the last two years won over $76 Billion dollar worth of defense contracts. The Defense Policy Board is a government-appointed group that advises the Pentagon and Richard Perle was their Chairman until recently when he was forced to resign.

Well, the atrocities of this war are still mainly in the future. But we know atrocities from previous wars. So do tell, how did the US apply the Geneva Convention to William Calley ? After killing 500 defenseless people he is serving his customers at a jewelry shop in Georgia. Is that the convention you mean ?

The Geneva convention gets used as toliet paper by the US as well. Thats why I find Rumsfeld somewhat hypocritical. He's got hundreds illegally being held at Gitmo. He was nice enough to call them illegal combatants but what the hell does that mean?

Hi quehubo; Re: "It is unfortunate that these people live in a country that does not respect the Geneva Convention. The consequences of the tactics of the irregulars and the guerrillas is that innocent people will die when our soldiers act to ensure their safety."

Yes, it would be much better if we attack countries that do follow Geneva. I suggest that next time we invade France instead. As for this conflict, if they won't follow the rules, I suggest that we "pick up our ball and go home". There's no reason that civilized gentlemen like us should be forced to play by unsportsmanlike rules. Especially if the consequence of their failing to play by the rules is that we lose the propaganda war.
