Plain and simple, the US did to Iraq what Iraq did to Kuwait.

The coalition's invasion of Iraq isn't illegal.

First:
UNSC resolution authorized member states "to use all necessary means to uphold and implement resolution 660 (1990) and all subsequent relevant resolutions..."

UNSC resolution 1441 specifically recalled 687 - just to make sure they got the message.

Second:
We are a sovereign nation and have the right to use force if we believe it is necessary to protect our nation and its interests.
