Millionaire winner on trial
Last updated 05 March 2003

An army major has gone on trial accused of trying to cheat 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' out of the top prize.

Charles Ingram went all the way and got the last, million pound question right, but producers wouldn't pay-up because they reckon he got help from someone in the audience coughing at the right answer.

He's up in court with his wife Diana and a college teacher. They deny the charges.
