Jimmybob..

I got a similar phone message on my phone, also. I thought it was just a joke. I guess there is a lot more embedding going on than we were told.

I'm off to the mirror to practice my salute and my "yes, sir's."

Don't let em drive you off, ya weenie.

Away from my machine or I would have responded earlier.

this is my final day posting on SI, maybe for good

Calm down jw, think about it. It's a bad day to be making any foolish decisions.

Now let's see:

Microsoft sucks

my postings are borderline "sedition"

country is going to the dogs

not here, not now

Maybe I'll join you.

Well, JW, it was obvious that MSFT AOL NSC and CB were all part of the the vast Vulcan mindmelt conspiracy. Be careful of Polacks with TIVOs strapped to their bellies, too.

<<...this is my final day posting on SI...>>

jw: Nice April Fool's joke...Hope to see more of your posts out here -- I enjoy reading many of them as you like to be a contrarian and question things...dig deep and look at the underlying assumptions.

I just had my DELL laptop crash a few days ago due to a killer virus -- it had to be rebuilt...new operating system put in, new drivers, new software loaded...at least my important files were preserved...I'm now using the state of the art Norton AntiVirus program that is updated every day...Oh well, I guess I should count my blessings since it could have been worse.

I'll be 'lurqing out here' on the porch more this spring and posting when I can...I'm getting very busy with 2 new consulting projects and won't have too much free time...Recently, I started working as an independent contractor for a large Michigan law firm that is helping to defend IBM...

softcom.net

The stakes are high with this set of lawsuits and its amazing what IBM is spending to defend itself...They are sort of like Microsoft in some ways and will spend whatever it takes to defend their profitable franchises...I'm not a lawyer (but IBM has hired hundreds of the best to work on this case)...Some of us are 'outside experts'...I do have a lot of experience in the sofware licensing area and its incredible how ALL the lawsuit documents are being systematically analyzed by IBM's legal teams (everything is digitized and put into a special searchable database for the defense to leverage)...I really can't discuss much more than this...Lets just say that I wouldn't want to go up against IBM in court...;-)

btw, where do ya see gold going in the next few months?
