With Iraq on the edge of defeat, all bets are off.
The end would lead to better employment and more spending by returning Military forces who earned combat or overseas pay and can get some well deserved luxuries, like buy a home at low interest
Rebuilding or replacing military supplies should aid the economy and job stability
Winning the war swiftly would greatly improve confidence in the Administration
Gold and oil should sink.
My bets are that the markets will improve gradually, perhaps following an intial jump, as companies which had to adjust to new projections or lay off people will begin to meet or exceed their (lowered) estimates
