The news sources from yesterday and today indicate it has been getting quite a pounding. It stood and fought in '91 until ordered to withdraw, but its losses both in men and material were much heavier than US.

Failure. The war isn't much more than a week old and it has failed, yet we are on the outskirts of Baghdad. Right.

There was much screaming when the war didn't end in four days like last time. What is forgotten (purposely, I suspect) is that we did not intend to go to Baghdad and topple Saddam last time. We should have, but we didn't. We only wanted to force him to withdraw from Kuwait.
