The Brits never assimilated any conquered peoples; they even failed in Ireland. The British held Ireland for 800 years (12th to 20th Centuries), and never made them loyal citizens. So, by your reckoning, the collapse of the American Empire is 800 years away. You are much more optimistic than I am.
