there was no back up available should the Republican Guard have presented a greater problem for our forces in place

What kind of "problem" might the "Elite Republican Guard" present? They have no tanks left; they have no artillery; they have no supplies; they have no munitions; they have no air power.

What is wrong with you? Are you not capable of having a discussion that doesn't lead to an explosion?

What you claim to be fact above is what we are just suspecting. Two weeks ago we did not know the condition of the Rep. Guard and were told to expect the worst.

Without these items, the Republican Guard present little threat to our guys. Franks knew that from the outset, as did Rumsfeld.

Right! That's not what they were saying leading up to the war.

I think you don't fully comprehend what a stomping the Iraqis are receiving at the hands of this inept war plan put together by incompetents.

First, I see the stomping we are giving. Secondly, you disgust me. You are bragging about trashing people who have 1/1000 of our capability to conduct war. Instead of being grateful, you have to promote our position like its something to hold in awe. It isn't......it is what it is and we are the lucky ones.

We are stomping the Iraqis and hopefully it will end soon. People are dying on both sides no matter how much we are leading the stomping.
