The response to abusive stock options and 'books cookers' should not be any change in the options rules, but severe criminal and civil penalties for the actual crime. Stock options are a great tool for employee incentive and co-ownership. Let the law breakers go to jail rather than killing one of our great productivity and innovation tools.

So, we are in agreement?

That 'stock grants better align an employee's interest with the company's long-term growth than options'... and that the unequal tax treatment of stock grants and options grants should be ended?
