When you read this, BBM, it makes you think that Central Control by Saddam is gone. We can pretty well have our way with the remnants of the Medina and Baghdad Divisions. The question now is what the other three to the north will do. Reports are that they are in much better shape. Just amazing that none of the bridges were blown.

I watched "Charlie Rose" tonight. The first guest was Alex Perry, with "Time," who is imbedded with the 3rd Division. He has been with them since January, over two months. He says what has impressed him most is how professional the Division is, and how few "Accidents" they have had. ie: shooting civilians, etc. Another good reporter who had no knowledge of the Military, and is now a supporter.

I watched Bill LaPlante, a CBS reporter from Vietnam days, complain on a panel that these people are subject to the "Stockholm" syndrome, and I don't buy it. They are not prisoners who have grown to like their captors. They are Reporters who started out with either a neutral or negative attitude toward the Troops, and now respect them.

Next was David Martin, from CBS in Washington. He says his sources confirm the Rummy/Meyers/Franks version of our war plan. The Army converted over from a 91 "Tank Heavy" version of an attack plan a year ago, and that is what the leakers are complaining about. They wanted the old version. Franks went with the Infantry version because that is what we would need to dig out city fighters. Once this was set, Franks got what he asked for. He didn't get the 4th Infantry Division in Northern Iraq, but that was not a fault of the plan.

Jim Hoagland gave more details from this column Tuesday Morning in the Washington Post. He says our informants who fingered Saddam for us say they saw him carried out of the destroyed bunker on a stretcher, blue in the face, with an oxygen mask. So the CIA figures he is either dead or injured. He also confirms Rummy's version of the War Plan from his sources.

So it looks like we are close to the "tipping point." This could be over by this weekend, or drag on for several weeks. That's War!

Damn that Rumsfeld! It's a quagmire. Did he remember to bring enough port-a-potties for so many POWs.

Stop. Bring the Troops Home before we win again.
