>> efforts to resettle ? is that what you think the Holocaust was about ? << well for starters, i don't subscribe to the conventional representation of the holocaust as it has been portrayed. early on hitler simply wanted to resettle the jews out of germany. madagascar and palestine were a couple of options. there were even some zionists who made alliances with hitler because they wanted german jews to head for palestine too, so a jewish state could be created. they actually considered hitler useful for this purpose, and aided his rise to power. needless to say, german-jewish relations deteriorated further and that's when things got way out of hand and a lot of people died as a result.
