thames, I fully believe that we have thoroughly pissed off the Arab world. We HAVE to get this over as cleanly as possible to implement positive change, including implementation of an elected Iraqi govt. Let them get pissed that we establish a base there... The bottom line is that chaos will not disappear immediately and that residual fedayeem influence will be prevalent. In a year, a happier Iraqi population that can work, eat well, move and speak freely and not fear for their lives will offset much of today's anger. that may be optimistic, but it is possible and is a good goal to try to achieve. I am an optimist...
