they're not interested in protecting free speech or democracy

It appears their support for the war is more consistent with certain of Israel's agenda than it is with a US agenda.
I'm not saying this is an absolute but it does appear that way. Much of the hard-line Israeli rhetoric of eliminating Arab threats by eliminating Arabs is mirrored in much of the underlying rhetoric here.
