Paul you never fail to amaze me. There is an angry but honest person in you.

That's a very considerate but accurate comment, ST.

Now if Bush&Co had come up and said what you just said instead of using FUD

The UN confuses the issue. Since the American strategic interests in the Middle East conflict with the French, Russian and Chinese strategic issues, the US couldn't go and say what I said - in public. However, it is exactly how the real debate went - behind closed doors. Everyone on the UNSC tried to optimize their strategic interests as best they could.

Now if Bush&Co had come up and said what you just said instead of using FUD, then we could get on with some constructive debate.

They can't. They're politicians. The rules of our political discourse kill anybody who tries to be honest, then despises those who are less than honest. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think the Bush crew is more honest than most -- which is one of the reasons why they keep getting slammed for their arrogance.
