the big risks are much more with financial markets
the cost of the war pushes the federal budget deficit to the critical zone whereby we are fast nearing the WALL

we dont seem to realize it
but we are a BANANA REPUBLIC fighting a hightech highcost war

our deficits will soon reach a level which results in rising longterm interest rates
the day is coming
we have forestalled it for a long time
but now, we are talking about monstrous deficits
truly monstrous
whatever figure you hear from official sources, multiply it by 2-3x

the big risk in my book is we suffer a slide into painful recession as a result of two things
1. reduced consumer spending stalling the economy
2. heightened federal deficits from heavy financing reqmts

WHAT IF WE OFFERED A WAR...
AND NO FOREIGN NATIONS OF IMPORTANCE SUPPORTED IT
BUT WE WENT BROKE IN THE PROCESS ???
this is what I foresee
