I know, I know. I keep telling myself that. But then when I meet up with friends and one
of them parrots the logically inept "no war for oil" NYT slogan, I can't help but into
disabuse mode.

What I do is tell them they're absolutely right, there IS no war for oil. That really flusters them.

It's not NYT, it is the standard left line. And if and your friends hang out in clubs, they are going to do well with that line, and you are going to strike out. Relax. The reason the left is so shrill is that they have lost the battle. But it still sells with the babes.
