and what I will say to that is, what about the message the Bush administration is sending, that the UN is a lame duck institution and the one lone superpower will just ignore it and start a war with whoever he wants with no crosschecking whatsoever.

Stick your finger in the eye of the international community? How many nations are behind this war anyway? I say 2, the US and Britain. I wouldn't really say Turkey is for this war, and I don't include those countries that the US essentially bribed. And then there are the iraqi people... are they behind this war? Well, if they were wouldn't we have taken Basra by now?

The hard reality is the US just can't slam its ideals and morals on a country that isn't interested, and proclaim justifcation for a war around those priciples, and call itself just.

speaking of which.. i thought N Korea was going to be in control of all of asia and australia by now; while the US was 'preoccupied' with iraq, n korea and lybia and china and all the other freakish whack-jobs out there were supposed to rise up and opportunise on the situation... at least that's what peter jennings and ted kopell told us .. i guess they were dead wrong.. oh dear... the media geniuses wrong.. go figure..
