<<<He rarely jokes with staffers these days and occasionally startles them with sarcastic putdowns.>>>

No more yucking it up with staffers while primping for the camera? Poor George.

<<<He's being hard on himself; he gave up sweets just before the war began.>>>

What a sacrifice little George has made, he gave up candy.

<<<He's frustrated when armchair generals or members of his own team express doubts about U.S. military strategy.>>>

At least some of those generals have seen combat. I wonder how the generals feel about armchair chickenhawks?

<<<He's a critic who sees himself as the aggrieved victim of the news media and second-guessers.... News coverage of the war often irritates him. He's infuriated by reporters and
retired generals who publicly question the tactics of the war plan.>>>

Poor, poor chicken George. Things would be ever so much nicer for him if he could just eliminate that freedom of speech roadblock.

<<<Two days after combat began, he has said acidly, some people were already asking "how the unconditional surrender
talks were going.">>>

But George, you told everyone your guys had talked to them on the phone and they were going to give up.

<<<Bush believes he was called by God to lead the nation at this time>>>

Yes George, most psychopaths and serial killers believe god told them to do it. Would you like the nurse to give you a nice shot to make the voices go away?

<<<Rather, the president's passion is motivated by his loathing for Saddam's brutality, aides say. He talks often about his revulsion for Saddam's use of torture, rape and executions.>>>

Let's see, the Airforce Academy in Colorado recently celebrated their 53rd rape, the great state of Texas recently celebrated their 300th execution, and the Patriot Act allowed George to take political prisoners outside the US to be tortured. If you need someone to hate, George, look in the mirror.

<<<He is convinced that the Iraqi leader is literally insane and would gladly give terrorists weapons to use to launch another attack on the United States.>>>

Hitler had the same problem with Jews. More voices from God, George?
