Hi Puna... I checked several places for more info re: Mark Franchetti who wrote the article you have placed in several places. IF it is true as he writes, it is indeed terrible. However, is the Moslem cleric telling the truth, or is this man? What little I did find of Mark Franchetti's writing was very definitely written from a single perspective. He is found on leftist sites (check them...you will see...) Iraq has been shooting at their own people when they were trying to run away, Iraq hanged a woman citizen last week because she waved at allied forces, Saddam and his henchmen have killed over one million people (1,000,000++), perhaps more, has not complied with the UN Resolutions and Saddams own agreement to rid Iraq of WMD for 12 (twelve) years now.....and all the etc's we know. We don't really have to believe a single writer (Mark Franchetti) nor a single Muslim cleric....we can look at past history, and present actions.... As terrible as that story is, it is equally terrible that Iraq paraded our soldiers on TV, then wouldn't let the Red Cross see them. Are they the ones who were found murdered with the Special Forces rescued our female POW? And what of the 5 soldiers who were already found mutilated and murdered by Iraq....? There is no justification for delibertly trying to attack citizens....nor is there a justification for capturing POW's then mutilating and murdering them.
