Hi, UW, you're right I was jumping to conclusion based on that part of the story which described her group as making a wrong turn and driving into a group of the enemy.

It turns out the reports of gunshot wounds were untrue according to what her father said in an interview. But my thinking was that if they drove into an ambush, then the vehicle she was in may have crashed thus the broken bones.

What concerned me when I wrote my reply was speculation even less grounded than mine in which it was discussed how she might have got her injuries.

I've no good feelings about the fascist criminals who have been running Iraq but I don't think it's a good idea to assume every one who is fighting the Coalition is a criminal.

It turns out that PFC Lynch probably was mistreated in some way if the story about how she came to be located is true.
