No real opposition. No word on what has happened to the three RG north of Baghdad, but we are probably wiping them out with air. I hope we continue to move as fast as is reasonable, and continue to "Attack by Recon" when we get into the City. Just flow right in if possible, under the "Fog of War," and don't stop at the City Limits and go, "Yoo Hoo, wanta surrender?" We have a golden opportunity to take the City and tip this situation over. If we do hit heavy opposition in the City the 3rd will pass through the 101st through to handle it, I am sure. They are coming up on the 3rd's left flank from what I can tell. These Fedayeen are pesky, but only because of the desire on our part to spare Civilians and structures. They are just irregular light Infantry, and easy to take out when pinned. We have the enormous advantage of already having SF in the City. What a triumph for combined arms! General Smith, the retired AF analyst for CBS, summed up what has happened to our Military on Charlie Rose tonight. He said this is the first war where all Services have really worked well together. Special Forces, Air, CIA, (I hear their rep gets along very well with Franks,) are all working hand in hand with the Regular Army. The attempt to take down Rummy by a group of disloyal Pentagon officers leaking to the media has failed. These guys will be found and gotten rid of when this is over. I try to hold down my exuberance, but I think we are close to the tipping point.
