"The birth, life, words, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus are the manifestation of his divinity."

That won't really satisfy anyone.

"We all depend on objective historical data, preferably contemporary eyewitnesses, to shape our understanding and beliefs about the great personalities of the past."

Understanding the past is only useful if it helps you deal with the present.

"Our understanding of Alexander the Great, or Genghis Khan, or Hannibal depends upon reliable and objective historical data and the predisposition and discernment of the reader."

Alexander the Great thought he was divine yet we don't worship him.

"If you approach historical records with a bias, you will read that bias into the narrative."

All historical records have built it bias.

"It is the same with Jesus and the eyewitness historical records compiled in what we call the New Testament."

A great story and like other stories if you read too much into it you strip away the essentials.

"Approach the historical records in the New Testament with an objective sincerity that seeks to find and know the truth rather than to seek to confirm one's preconceived ideas and prejudices."

You can't be objective when you are chasing miracles.

"A sober note: The greatest minds of Western Civilization, the minds who established the intellectual, scientific and spiritual foundation of our modern Western Culture, examined these documents critically and objectively and concluded that Jesus was indeed the divine son of God."

The pillars of western civilization predate Christianity by a few years.
