Faith is simply trust, and trust is founded on experience that verifies that the trust is has a solid reason behind it.

I "trust" my parents because that trust "has a solid reason behind it" - they have never shown any motive but genuine interest in my well-being in all acts.

Not so sure what kind of an "experience" you have with the authors of those Gospels that can justify your "trust" in all they say, including the miracles, and some very strange claims like Jesus being the son of God, on a "solid reason".

God never expects you believe in fairy tales or half-truths that do not have a solid foundation in reality.

Brilliant. I am interested. Please point me in the direction of these "solid foundations in reality", because, for the life of me, I have searched pretty much in every religion and this "faith" concept keeps asking me to believe without proof every time.

I would love to hear about these "solid foundations in reality" you are talking about...

The Virgin Birth for example?
