It may be a misprint, but if it is not, then I wonder what caused it? It may be nothing, but I snap to "full perimeter scan" status whenever my keen, finely-honed senses, sharp as a jungle cat, detect some slight change, something somehow different, in the environment. Sniff sniff, my sensitive nose tests the air. It could be a fierce predator. It could be a mating opportunity. It may be delicious foods, maybe even - dare I hope? - something in the chocolate family. It could be a, "What is it, Holmes?" asks the dependable Watson, snapping me out of my reverie. I shrug my mighty shoulders, adjust the rakish tilt of my deerstalker cap, and reply that, casting a nervous eye towards the horizon, "It may be something. It may be nothing, my dear Watson. But it is," and stumbling for words to express the chilling fear of monsters in the dark, say only the enigmatic, and somewhat breathless, "SOMETHING!" <<
