Peters has been very accurate with his predictions and highly critical of the Rumsfeld/air power reliance.

I laughed as I read it. He is paddling like mad to CYA. Rumsfeld and the Generals who agreed with him were right, and the retired, "Hi diddle diddle" guys were wrong. This is also a triumph for Col Boyd,(RIP), to the extent that they used his ideas. Air worked, and was never supposed to be the endall/beall that Peters tries to claim. Nobody, but nobody, will want to take us on after this. That makes Diplomacy a lot easier.

Semi-ot: Mike:

Since I can see no way how the war against Saddam Hussein could have been avoided at some point, and since, honestly, I am not objective here (I admire the performance by our troops) - I must admit that writing by Peters is music to my ears.
