Very simplistic and wrong. If the war ends soon we will be happy because we did not want it in the first place and we will be thrilled that our beloved young men and women and the innocents in Iraq will be less likely to to maimed and killed. (But I don't think the War Agenda stops at Iraq.) Please assume that all other criticisms of this currrent administration, including its foreign, veteren, domestic, economic, civil rights, social security, health, and affirmative action policies, are as repulsive as ever. In addition I deplore their manipulative messages and tactics, personnel choices, attitudes and constant flip flops on goals. Don't hear much about the goal of this war being disarmament of WMDs. And then it was regime change, and now it is to free the Iraqis. Doesn't it bother anybody that our President has an attention to detail somewhat less then my cat? So now he tells the troops he's willing to fight to their death to "Take Baghdad". Did anybody ask the country if we wanted to take Baghdad? I don't remember being asked if I wanted our Veteran's benefits cut as we positioned our young troops in a situation which will create MORE Disabled Vets? Hey he can cut their benefits too. And does anybody care about the plans for Iraq which this Administration wants run by THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, not State or the UN or the Co-alition or the Allies? Does anyone care how this contradicts past promises? And apparently Iraq is to have health care for everybody as well as full rebuilding and improvement of infrastructure. Hey if President Bush would have run on this for America I would have voted for him. Pathetic situation. I don't know if we will ever have a chance to see our America as I thought it was. And now that the corporate media is entirely co-opted we stand alone and diminished shouting at the sky and posting on this board. Fox is slanted to the rupert-right, and the reports of ALL news agencies, CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC (even CSPAn) are all subject to that same filter of the "Administratively Correct". Administratively Correct Pablum and sound bites served fresh each minute, each day. Lap it up boys. It may not last forever. Just speaking for myself, of course. Rascal@ scariesttimes.com
