<I always find it strange to hear accusations that suicide bombers or soldiers in civilian clothes (i.e. camoflage) are "cowardly" but firing cruise missiles and dropping bombs on soldiers from high flying or stealth aircraft is not......>

Yea, how can a suicide bomber be a 'coward'?

cowar: <<: to shrink away or crouch especially for shelter from something that menaces, domineers, or dismays>>

coward: <<: one who shows disgraceful fear or timidity>>

OTOH:

Hero: <<1 a : a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability b : an illustrious warrior c : a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities d : one that shows great courage>>

My guess that it is a "coin toss" whether it's safer to be a Iraqi civilian with opposing USA or UK forces coming the other way. I think an evaluation of the local Fedayeen behavior would be an important factor if one had a choice.

There is evidence that some news reporters are a little "trigger happy" with the computer mouse interpreting the news though..
