I think the line could be resequenced, so PeopleMarks is followed by PeopleSearch. I like the Inbox in the center to get my attention. Maybe the whole sequence could be user-selectable. 19 times out of 20 I use the SubjectMarks in the upper right, because SI sets up most clicks in the upper right.

My choices would be:
SubjectMarks, PeopleMarks, PeopleSearch, Inbox, Hot Lists, Options, My Profile, Start a Subject

with the themes of one SubjectMarks Left and one Right, Start a Subject is rare so put it out of the way, Personal settings are also rare to change, but put the more likely one (My Profile) closer to the end and the less likely one (options) to its left. Also, with Logout and SI Mail to the right, it seems that Options, and My Profile work better further right. Start a Subject could logically be right next to SubjectMarks, but I think it is so rarely used, I'd rather stick it out of the way (where it is now).

I would prefer that the 4 upper right links all be moved to the upper left and the SILICON INVESTOR logo be moved to the upper right and changed to 2 shades of yellow/orange/gold (more reminiscent of silicon).

This would require changing the bar at the bottom of the page, and other changes.

I would like a non-mouse way to go to the next and previous messages. Such as Ctrl + right arrow or Ctrl + N for next and Ctrl + left arrow or Ctrl + P for Previous. If so, then Ctrl + M would be next 10 and Ctrl + O would be Previous 10.
