If he is untenured he will probably go(not renewed) at the end of the school year, i bet. If tenured, its a whole other issue. But i can live with this guy staying on if tenured. The principle of academic freedom deserves some protection. mike

And frequently they pay the consequences for their intemperate hotheadedness, and have to find a new job.

There's no reason that shouldn't be the case here.
