Then you understand nothing of human psychology.

You assume that these people have the same intrinsic value system as we do, which is not the case. When judging the logic of a particular action, you must view it in light of the weightings that one's mind applies to various principles (truth, honor, religion, love, ego, power etc).

The human mind is almost infinitely malleable, and generally accepts the realities which it is presented.

To expound further on this point...

I agree that someone growing up here in this society would indeed have to be gullible and perhaps "stupid" to do such a thing. However, you have no point of reference from which to judge the palestinian suicide bomber, and it makes you sound pompous and arrogant to make such judgements. That is not to say that I agree with what they are doing, just that I can understand the mindset and the environment which produces such people.

You have to force yourself to see the world through their eyes, not yours.

Regardless, most of the families of suicide bombers are takin care of by Arafat.

I think it is much more likely that they truly believe that are dying for Allah and will be treated like kings in the "afterlife."
