If Robert Fisk could do himself in by any amount of silliness, he would be gone by now. Remember, while Fisk's colleague Phil Reeves recanted the "massacre at Jenin" rubbish, Fisk never did. But Fisk is really writing works of drama, not journalism. He is never held to account for mere factual errors.

Even by Fisk standards - and that's saying something - this piece on Baghad's "impenetrable" defenses is a masterpiece of silliness, and I hope will be proven so within the next few days.
