My wife is Greek and Welsh. She lived in Egypt for a short while (born in England) as that's where her dad was raised (Egypt). They left and lost a fair bit getting out of Egypt. Ended up in Canada by way of England. Anyway he would regale us with stories of people and customs etc. He was a very interesting guy and spoke several languages well Greek, Arabic, English and French among them.. Most things good came from Greece or Egypt he said, with a few from England (like his wife :o)...
