After this war, the American people will not vote for a traitor again for several generations-so Kerry's out. Edwards can't hide his tawdry ambulance-chasing past. Not only can he not get on the ticket, he's ALREADY beat in any re-election attempt he may be foolish enough to try. If 2004 were held today, Bush would get in excess of 75% of the popular vote, and sweep DOZENS into Congress. The real thing will be a little closer-but ONLY a little...

You know, I think the Republicans must have a plan to deal with a bad economy next election cycle. Like provoking North Korea into a military confrontation in order to get people to rally around the President around election time. Aeyee Aeyeii. The times we live in... Bring back the Cold War. I kind of miss the "stability" that existed back then. At least I felt like the U.S. had a moral purpose in the world back during the Cold War. Now, I feel like we're just out to dominate the world, something we couldn't/wouldn't have done if the Soviet Union existed. Does anyone think we would have attacked Iraq like we are now, if the Cold War was going on and the Soviet Union was there to act as a counterwieght?
