I agree that the best solution is 'an explosion from within'. But, if we try to force the issue without international support, we'll find that we'd actually prolong their reigns by providing their leaders with legitimate reasons for them to fear us (and thus, prop up the despots).

I liked Bush's characterization that the N Korea problem was a regional one, that needed to be solved by those in the region. If NK is a threat to its neighbors, then it neighbors have to lead the solution.
