Bin Ladin misunderstood us and is now dead. Saddam misunderstood us and is now, or soon will be, dead. No more Lebanon's, Mogadishu's, Cole's, etc.

Thanks for that post by Barry Rubin...It "feels" quite accurate to me, and if one checks various threads around SI, seems to speak for many Americans here as well....
