Emile, it's been said by many that winning the war will be easy, but winning the peace will be difficult. The way I see this, we're entering a whole new, and the most dangerous, phase of the war, pretty much leaving only two options and both of them have the same aftermath:

1) A prolonged state of seige of Baghdad.
2) A bloody slaughter of a wartime magnitude not experienced by Americans in recent history.

The aftermath in each instance will be the same. As Al Qaeda strengthened once US troops assumed Saudi Arabian soil, so will it strengthen again with US troops on Iraqi soil. Occupying Iraq could prove extremely difficult and with world opinion such as it is, the image of the US will decline.

Bottom line is this war is a grave mistake!
