Kerry didn't know what his roots were. Still doesn't, except he's Scottish-Irish on his mother's side.

I actually bawled out that Globe reporter you're refering to by email and he answered by saying he was JOKING and the article was PRO Kerry, making fun of people who are obsessed with his background. So I dropped it. He didn't make it that obvious it was a joke. Just cynical toned with nothing else to write about that day.
