I believe you have missed a major point-----combined with the concept of predestination of a person's soul even before the actual physical birth is the concept of free choice once a person is born.

Just a note on music-----one branch of the Presbyterian Church were called the "Psalm" singers. If you have never heard a psalm sung----you have truly missed a wonderful musical event of praise and joy.

Pick up the book of Psalms and randomly read one----there is no Psalm that does not have a message----this was David's struggle----his ups his downs, his alienation from God, his praising God etc.

Also, the chosen have a huge responsibility in the world----part of their challenge is to live in the grace of God through example and to carry the grace of God to the world------through their lives and actions. This is not an easy position to be in as a human being-----as one knows that one must live your life as Christ would want you to do rather than as you might be tempted to live.

Then----the ongoing debate in the Christian Community over the value of the Old and New testaments continues.

Personally, i believe that the Old and New Testament are equally important. IMO to understand the New Testment, one must know the Old Testament. Without the Old the New makes little sense.

Time is limited. Must go. Have a good day.
