I'm no longer convinced that Saddam actually has many if any 'best troops' left... I'm not an expert here, but my understanding of the Iraqi military was regular army, Republican Guard and Special Republican Guard - plus irregular Fedayeen. Of these, the Special Republican Guard were supposed to be the best, and have yet to be engaged. That was the basis for my statement. As for overriding threat to the US or anyone else since 1991, only a neo-con ruse. JMO lurqer
