A short while ago, FOX News reported Baghdad winds as being from the South today and how important that is for our troops South of the city. They were of course referring to a potential chemical fallout zone.

That is the first public announcement I have heard about the importance of wind.

wind is never mentioned at ready.gov.

FOX did not mention what that southerly breeze might due to our troops North of the city.

<God help the people who did this>

Lindy, A bit of face-slappy and third party interrogation is okay for subhuman AlQ suspects though? That was according to some USA military guy in Afghanistan.

If Americans were more respectful of human rights, they might get more respect when their people are taken prisoner.

However, that would probably not be the case generally, and to help persuade future captors of the need to be gentle with captives, it would be a good idea to ask the informant for the names of those responsible. He was reported to know who the very, very, very, very nasty people were.

Taking them to the Hague as war criminals would be better than summary justice. I know keeping them in legal limbo for years, like Milosevic, with lawyers pecking at their eyes, ears and brains, is cruel and unusual punishment, but it would be effective in dissuading others from risking ending up in the same place.

Perhaps a couple of them could get summary justice via military tribunal and the others sent to the Hague for the torture - that way, future miscreants would have double-dread in their hearts if taking prisoners.
