Unless you are telling me that you know our military attaché in Egypt or something like it, I don't think you have made your case. I am sure CIA also hires accountants and payroll people. That does not mean this is all they do. It is the function of our intelligence community to spy in foreign countries. I am simply assuming that they are doing their job and that when something big like a revolution is going on they know about it way before CNN reports it. It stands to reason that if you know something big is going on, then you adjust your moves accordingly. If you are against it, you will provide intel to the opposition. If you are for it, you provide money, contacts, and political clout for it. Why is this so hard to understand? Do you think that the Baathis kept going to US embassy because they served good coffee there?
