Now, I don't know any of the following for a fact, but it seems reasonable: 1. US War plan. Probably about 800 pages (which would be the summary, the entire plan would be longer, well into the 1,000s of pages) detailing numbers, routes, maps, provisions, fuel, movement, goals, main strategies, sub strategies, alternative strategies, contingencies, timelines, alternative timelines and post conflict immediate policing action. 2. Iraqi War plan. In its entirety (I can type it here): 1) Saddam encourages people, says jihad and infidel a lot. 2) People get encouraged and inspired. Saddam's thugs shoot a few people who seem under-inspired, which will inspire the rest. 3) Saddam's troops get whacked, surrender; Saddam stays quiet, lets his bigwigs talk big. People get encouraged, etc. (see item 2). 4) Lots of threats (which, see, "mother of all wars" talk from 1991) to the outside world. Tell Iraqi people the plan is going according to plan and that a big victory awaits; if not, there's always martyrdom and paradise, 70 virgins, etc. 5) Shoot more Iraqis (this works because it's much easier to shoot Iraqi citizens at close range than Coalition Forces in their tanks); note to self, do these victims count for the Iraqi Army as enemy dead for the final tally? 6) Encourage the citizenry to defend the Fatherland, mention jihad and infidel a lot; notes to self: Jacques Chirac said he would be a friend to the end, but where is he? Is this the end? Is it too late to accept Bush's deal about exile? Check on Swiss bank account balances. 7) Shoot more Iraqis, all who are under-inspired. Threaten weapons of mass destruction. Surrender and declare victory. Kb
