Canadians are good at U.S. geography..I can find a Krispy Kreme with my eyes closed :) Problem is I need soap just to fit in a bathtub :( :)

Jay Leno quoted a recent sample of Americans on the street 1/3-rd could not identify the United States of America on a global map with no national boundary lines I honestly believe the figure would be 1/2 Leno also quoted a similar study on capitals and national leaders one fool said "capital of Germany is France" one thought the leader of Germany was Putin a study 2-3 years ago revealed that 70% of Americans could not locate VietNam on a map with national boundaries sorry, we are orders of magnitude more ignorant than you give credit try an experiment with a cash register operator your bill is $3.56 you give the clerk $4 then after the clerk begins entering in both figures, give the clerk 6 cents half the time when I do so, utter confusion reigns sorry, two years of math in high school no recollection of history whatsoever no foreign languages spoken by 95% of non-Hispanic citizens ask a few friends what the capital of France or Germany or Sweden is forget Italy, everyone knows Rome forget England, everyone knows London the greatest skills owned by Americans are spending money they dont own and playing video games / jim
