What bothers me a great deal is "faith" on-a-sleeve or "irrational faith" (again -- the term is not redundant, IMHO), as it were ... I also disdain worship of the state -- many forms of what others call patriotism. I am patriotic, but differently and tempered by the view that "nations" are never righteous, per se ... Worship of man's intellect is the worst form of idolatry, IMO.
