the surprise of course will be when the 100 point rally that everybody knows will happen upon discovery of his decomposing carcass doesn't happen and we instead start Prechter's crash wave.

the action the last week supports that. spastic market. absolutely everyone looking up. no one thinks we've got big down imminent.

Not sure how serious you are about this point, but I've got the same nagging feeling. Everybody - and I mean *everybody* and his fricking brother is long here. Bulls are long, bears are long, dogs, cats, sheep, hell, the whole animal kingdom is long. For Chrissake, I'm even slightly long here, and I'm the short and hold type.

The strength of the war rally surprised me, and I'm not going to fight against it, but at the first sign of weakness, the longs are history. There is nothing to support this market except massive liquidity and the bullshit second half hopes we've had annually for three years running now.
