The threat is not the food. The threat is a change in life style as a whole and an emphasis on American way of life in foreign lands a.k.a Americanization.

There is nothing new here. As I pointed out earlier on (and you made fun of) building a city center and a Roman bath was the first thing Romans would do when they'd take over. Unlike what you thought, this was not about having better smelling enemies. It was to change the culture of the conquered land to be more compatible with Rome. You really need to read more about the golobalization issues (for both sides of the isle).
