>>We needed immediate tax cuts which put money in the hands of consumers, not the rich.

So the rich aren't consumers?

And so if Bush's tax cut and war policies are responsible for the poor U.S. economy, how do you explain that our economy is performing better than most other developed nations?

This is the third time I am asking you this, if you don't have an answer and prefer to shift the discussion again, I will consider that you can't answer.

I saw a statement on the news last night, where Snow was trying to invoke the war effort to try and sell Bush's full economic package. Something like " going all out with the full tax cut was analogous to going all out in Iraq" I thought he was an asshole for making that statement, although I suspect his boss had him do it for him. The asshole also made a statement that the govt. shouldn't get too involved in trying to help the airlines, like his industry isn't heavily subsidized by the govt.
